THAILAND RETAIL SERVICE
|Thailand retails (more)|
Retailers need expert advice on where to locate new outlets. CBRE Thailand can advise clients on where to locate retail units to achieve the best exposure to their target customers.
We advise retailers on shopping centres, stand-alone shophouses with street frontage, and other types of retail outlets such as superstores and neighbourhood centres.
We can also assist retailers on the best locations in Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Samui and Pattaya as well as Thailand’s major provincial cities.
TYPE OF RETAIL PROPERTY AND SHOPS
There is a wide range of modern retail properties in Bangkok and to a lesser extent in the provincial cities. Bangkok has some of Asia’s best known shopping centres, including Central World, Emporium, and Siam Paragon.
Phuket, Pattaya and Koh Samui all have a number of shopping centres targeting tourists.
These traditional retail outlets with two to four storeys are street front retail units.
2. Shopping Centres
These are modern shopping centres or malls, normally anchored by a department store. The two major shopping centre developers and department store operators are Central and The Mall group. The best known shopping centres in Bangkok are Central World, Siam Paragon, Emporium, and MBK. In Phuket, there are two major shopping centers: Jungceylon and Central Festival.
There are four major superstore operators in Thailand: Tesco Lotus, Big C, and Makro. These superstores often have retail premises available for rent to tenants.
4. Specialist Stores
These are either stand-alone stores or major tenants in shopping centres. HomePro is Thailand’s largest home improvement retailer and has shop premises available for rent in its stand-alone stores.
5. Neighbourhood Centres and Communitity Malls
There are a growing number of neighbourhood retail centres, usually with one of the major supermarkets as the anchor tenant.
