HUA HIN PROPERTY MARKET The traditional home of the Thai Royal Family, Hua Hin has long been popular with elite Thais as a weekend retreat. Hua Hin has recently become one of the hottest property markets in Thailand, with increasing numbers of home buyers appreciating the benefits of this beautiful seaside town just 3 hours’ drive from Bangkok. As both Thais and foreigners buy property in Hua Hin for use as their own homes and for investment purposes, prime beachfront locations in the heart of Hua Hin have become more expensive and hard to find. Despite the scarcity of prime beachfront locations, new condo developments have started to be developed in areas north of Hua Hin such as Cha-Am; south of the main town in Khao Takiab, Khao Tao and Pranburi; and also inland. Property buyers continue to be attracted to houses, villas and condominiums in the Hua Hin area, due to the lower prices compared to Phuket and Hua Hin’s proximity to Bangkok which enables home owners to drive down for the weekend.
