There is a wide choice of property locations in Bangkok and our sales team can advise buyers on the key features of each area. The following are the main locations for a buyer who wants a home or an investment property:

1. Sukhumvit
Sukhumvit is the most popular residential property area for expatriates, characterized by high-rise apartments and condos, shopping centres, international schools, hospitals and a wide variety of entertainment venues and restaurants. It incorporates Sukhumvit Road from Soi 1-65 and Soi 2-44 and is conveniently linked to the city’s other main areas by the sky train (BTS) which runs along the main Sukhumvit Road and the interchange with the MRTA subway system at Asoke.

2. Silom and Sathon
The Silom and Sathorn areas have a selection of new high-rise and low-rise condominiums concentrated along the area’s BTS sky train route. It includes Silom, Sathorn, Surawong and Narathiwas-Ratchanakarin Road (north of Chan Road). Many office buildings, five-star hotels, international standard hospitals, shopping malls, nightlife and entertainment venues are found around Silom and Sathorn Road.

3. Central Lumpini
Central Lumpini is a popular location for embassies, luxury condominiums and premier offices, and is also where Bangkok’s biggest urban park is found. It incorporates the area south of Sukhumvit Road, around Wireless, Ploenchit, Rajdamri, Chidlom, Langsuan, Sarasin and Ruamrudee roads. This area has the highest land value in Bangkok because there is a limited number of freehold development sites as much of the land in this area is owned by the Crown Property Bureau and therefore is only available for development on a 30-year lease basis.

4. Riverside
The Riverside area offers a relaxing environment with spectacular views of the Chao Phraya River and is becoming increasingly popular among home seekers. There are several prime condo developments located on both sides of the river, many of which link to the sky train by private boat service. The area includes Charoenkrung Road, Charoennakorn Road and Rama III Road (adjacent to the river).

5. Rama lll
Rama III incorporates Narathiwas-Ratchanakarin Road (south of Chan Road), Charoenkrung Road and Rama III Road (on the side that is not adjacent to the river), as well as the interlinking sois. This area offers more competitively priced condominiums than central Lumpini.

6. Other Areas in Bangkok
Other areas in Bangkok include Pathumwan, Ratchaprarop, Phayathai, Sri Ayutthaya Road and Petchaburi Road. Parts of this area enjoy sky train links and also offer more competitively priced condos.

7. Other Areas in Thailand

These include Hua Hin and Cha-am, very popular seaside towns on the Gulf of Thailand, which are just two to three hours by road or rail or a short flight from Bangkok.
