QUARTERLY HIGHLIGHTS
- Various announcements from publicly-listed developers of launching new projects in the downtown area this year, however, only one downtown project launched in Q2 2023. Most developers still favor launching projects in the midtown/suburban area with starting unit prices at no more than THB 3 million.
- The number of international arrivals to Thailand decrease from 6,477,538 tourists in Q1 2023 to 6,437,153 tourists this quarter as low season begins.
- According to STR, the hotel occupancy rate in Q2 2023 was recorded at 67.3%, decreasing 4.2 percentage points Q-o-Q, but increasing 21.4 percentage points Y-o-Y. Average Daily Rate (ADR) increased to THB 3,853, representing a 5.9% Q-o-Q decrease and 36.7% Y-o-Y growth.
