QUARTERLY HIGHLIGHTS
- The retail market in Bangkok remained stable in Q3 2023 compared to the previous two quarters.
- Thailand’s consumer confidence index (CCI) increased for the second consecutive month to 58.7 in September 2023, the highest level since February 2020, driven by positive sentiment from the new government and a rebound in foreign tourist arrivals. (The CCI increased 14.1 points or a 31.6% Y-o-Y increase).
- The total retail supply in Bangkok increased from 7.9 million square meters in Q3 2022 to 8.2 million square meters in Q3 2023, an increase of 2.8% Y-o-Y.
- As of Q3 2023, more than 1.5 million square meters of retail space is either planned or under construction.
