SEMI-ANNUAL HIGHLIGHTS
- In H2 2023, the number of international and domestic passenger arrivals at Phuket International Airport was 3,602,844 passengers, increasing by 45.7% Y-o-Y from 2,473,029 in H2 2022 and 5.5% H-o-H from 3,415,106 passengers in H1 2023.
- Phuket Hotel KPI’s, according to STR showed:
- Occupancy improved to 64.6%, increasing 13.5 percentage points Y-o-Y from 51.1% in H2 2022.
- Average Daily Rate (ADR) was recorded at THB 4,733, indicating a 11.8% increase Y-o-Y.
- RevPAR was recorded at THB 3,118, a 36.7% increase Y-o-Y in accordance with the improvements in ADR and occupancy.
- In comparison to H2 2019, figures were 68.1% occupancy, ADR at THB 3,311 and RevPAR of THB 2,304, with only occupancy lagging 2019 figures.
- Seven hotels with 1,687 keys opened during H2 2023, bringing the total supply to 45,180 keys across 261 hotels. Most new hotel openings were existing hotels which were rebranded.
- By 2026, Phuket’s total hotel supply is forecast to increase by 6.7% with the addition of 12 under-construction hotel projects with a total of 3,048 keys.
