Thailand Investment Figures Q3 2023

In Q3 2023, the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) raised the policy rate twice, from 2.00% to 2.50%, the highest in 10 years. The Bank of Thailand (BoT) revised Thailand's 2023 GDP growth outlook to 2.8%, down from the anticipated 3.6%, due to lower growth in merchandise exports and tourism-related sectors.

There were 17 new joint-venture projects announced during Q3 2023, fourteen of which were from Origin Property Public Company Limited. The majority of the joint-venture projects focused on residential development in Q3 2023.

In Q3, 2023 Frasers Property Thailand Industrial Freehold and Leasehold REIT (FTREIT) added 8 properties with the additional investment of THB 1.6 billion while the Strategic Hospitality Extendable Freehold and Leasehold REIT (SHREIT) was delisted.
