Asia Pacific Investment Market View Q2 2015

Activity picks up but stock for sale stays limited.

News-than_6augThe investment market was more active in Q2 2015. Singaporeans remained the biggest intra-regional investors. The downside was the lack of stock for sale and landlords’ unwillingness to reduce asking prices. Investment turnover is expected to display steady growth in H2 2015.

Bhiraj_buildingLow interest rates and a lack of stock to invest in has resulted in investors looking at structured debt deals as a way of investing in the real estate market.

Bangkok Property Pace 2015-05-11_153154Core office assets continued to see strong demand from institutional investors. In the retail sector, investor interest faded in several major markets due to weaker fundamentals, which also filtered through into the industrial sector.
