Bangkok Condo Developer Ananda extends JV

By on Jun 10, 2015 in Property News

The Bangkok condo developer, Ananda Development, is extending their partnership with Mitsui Fudosan to develop 5 further condominium projects in Bangkok. Combined this will mean 4,200 units will be launched over 2015 and 2016. All units will be close to the mass transit stations.

Akihiko Funaoka, Executive Managing Officer of Mitsui Fudosan, told a joint press conference yesterday, “Thailand, especially Bangkok, is one of the most attractive markets in this region for investment because of plans to invest in mass transit extensions, which is very important in generating demand for housing around new stations,” he said.

The new projects have come about because of the success of the initial projects developed together.  Ananda will continue to be primarily in charge of all the projects. This partnership is one of the key ways Mitsui Group is looking to expand in the region. Both organisations working together are looking to expand knowledge and construction technologies to the advantage of all the current and future projects.

Despite all the economic turmoil it seems condos near mass transit stations continue to be in high demand as both volumes and prices are still on the rise.
