Bangkok Condo Purple Line Boost

A survey by Collier International Thailand is predicting prices of new projects along the Purple Line could rise by up to 50% when the mass-transit route begins operations towards the end of this year.

Associate director Surachet Kongcheep said new condominium projects being launched around the Purple Line from Bang Sue to Bang Yai would see offer prices 30 to 50% higher than in existing projects. This follows increases of up to 30% in land prices in areas around the mass-transit route since the start of last year. A survey by the Agency for Real Estate Affairs (AREA) has shown the price of land around the Purple Line route has been recorded at between THB 85,000 and THB 250,000 per square wah. This is 25% higher than 2015 levels.

There are both listed, small and medium sized property companies who are developing residential projects close to the Purple Line.  For example Supalai has launched 3 condo projects, AP Thailand 4 condo projects and Pacific Star 1 condo project (but it has 1,394 units).

It is estimated the location from Bang Sue to Bang Yai will have nearly 70,000 condominium units along the 23km Purple Line route.
