By on May 25, 2016 in Property News, Retail

Bangkok retail space is due for an exciting time as Siam Piwat Co is ready to relaunch its Siam Discovery shopping centre on May after a year of renovation. The doors will reopen with 40,000 square metres of retail space and we’re told there will be around 300 million spent on the grand opening event.

The 8 storey new Siam Discovery will showcase more than 5,000 international and local brands across all price ranges. They ar expecting 100,000 visitors per day, an increase of 30,000 from before the renovation.  The split of Thais to foreigners is expected to be around 65/35.

There will be global brands like Nike and Issey Miyake and Hackett, a men’s fashion brand from England who will have its first concept store in Thailand.

“Siam Discover is different from other retail operators in terms of the way of selling products, presenting them as part of a storytelling narrative that is engaging and interesting,” said Mayuree Chaipromprasith, senior executive vice-president for business promotion at Siam Piwat.
