The governments quarter 4 property incentives have boosted the 2015 results of the listed Bangkok property developers.

The country’s top listed residential developers have posted combined revenue of THB 237.94 billion for 2016. This is up over 21% mainly due to strong demand in the final quarter after the governments measures to boost the property market.

Pruksa Real Estate reported strong growth, achieving THB 51.43 billion in 2016. Their performance was due to good residential demand in quarter 4 when the government introduced incentives to boost the property market by cutting lending fees and providing special interest rates for mortgages on homes up to THB 1 million from the Government Housing Bank.

Sansiri reported income of THB 38.45 billion in 2016. “Our total revenue grew strongly, with the number of units at ready-to-stay condominium projects being transferred to customers exceeding our estimate, plus some of our income was from management fees to develop condominiums under our joint venture with BTS Group Holdings”, chief operating officer Wanchak Buranasiri said.

SC Asset Corporation CEO Nuttaphong Kunakornwong said the company’s financial results had been better than expected thanks to strong demand for residences priced above THB 15 million. “We are confident that demand to buy homes in both the middle and upper income markets will remain strong” he added.
