CB Richard Ellis Thailand is pleased to announce the promotion of two key members of staff in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the property industry and the high level of personal achievement.

Effective from 1st April 2009, CB Richard Ellis has promoted Mr. Nithipat Tongpun, Head of Office Services, and a Director since 2000 of the company to the role of Executive Director.   Nithipat has run CB Richard Ellis Thailand’s Office team since 1995 which has consistently dominated the Bangkok office market with a year-on-year average market share of 70%, making the company number 1 agent for grade A office marketing in Thailand.  In addition, he advises several world’s leading multinational companies on their offices’ needs and relocation.

Some of his recent major achievements include 61,000 sq.m. office leasing by DTAC at Chamchuri Square, 21,000 sq.m. office relocation by Citibank to  Interchange 21.  He has also been involved in marketing and development advice for major grade A office developments in Bangkok such as Q House Lumpini and Exchange Tower.

“We are pleased to promote Nithipat to the role of Executive Director,” said Managing Director Ms. Aliwassa Pathnadabutr, “as he is a consummate all round professional who is widely regarded and respected throughout the property industry in Bangkok”.

Nithipat started his career with American Express moving to CB Richard Ellis in 1991 and assumed the role of Manager in 1995, Associate Director in 1998, Director in 2000, and now Executive Director in 2009.

Further enhancing the line-up of the company’s senior management and again in recognition of outstanding performance as an industry leader, the Board also promoted Ms. Kulwadee Sawangsri to Executive Director.

Without doubt, Kulwadee is Thailand’s leading investment broker with an unrivalled record of major transactions in key site sales, development, investment properties such as hotels and office buildings. She has proven to be the most successful capital transactions agent in the history of the Bangkok property market.

Kulwadee is widely respected by a large number of investors and developers, and is an outstanding role model to all transaction staff in the company in terms of her dedication and commitment to concluding complex transactions.

Some of her major site successes were the sale of 3.6 acres at the corner of Wireless and Ploenchit Roads, part of the British Embassy in Bangkok, a 1.6-acre site belonging to Metrostar Property Plc on South Sathorn Road, RS Tower now known as Eight Thonglor Residences, and the Tropicana Hotel in Phuket now refurbished and operating as Courtyard by Marriott Phuket.

She joined CB Richard Ellis in 1994 from the German-Thai Chamber of Commerce and was promoted to Manager in 1995, Associate Director in 2000, and Director in 2003.

“We are pleased to bring both these senior players into our Executive Board at this time,” said Mr. David Simister, Chairman of the company. “Whilst the external global situation and the local political situation create challenging times for Thailand’s property market, this is the time when experience and expert knowledge counts. We look forward to both Kulwadee’s and Nithipat’s contribution to the management and strategic planning of the company, and without doubt they are both exemplary examples of the achievement and performance orientated leaders CB Richard Ellis creates,” stated Mr. Simister.
