Phuket Villas & Apartments – Residential Market View Q2 2013

Phuket villa and apartment sales performance by value slightly decreased in Q2 2013 in comparison to Q1 2013 and Q2 2012.

  • Phuket villa sales in Q2 2013 by total value decreased by 20% Q-o-Q and5% Y-o-Y.
  • The total stock of completed villas in Phuket Q2 2013 remained unchanged.
  • In Phuket there were 4 newly-launched projects in Q2 2013 located along the Central West Coast and the South Coast.
  • We see a continued and steady demand for the Phuket villa market in entry-level and mid-range segments in the second half of 2013.
  • The Phuket Condominium market shows an ongoing preference by buyers for one-bedrooms with a cheaper total price.
  • The demand from Asian buyers including Thais, Singaporeans, Hong Kong and Mainland Chinese increased from last year.
  • The mass market condominium in Phuket continued its strong sales performance, targeting Thai buyers who were invertors and end users.
