The Thailand Industry National Housing Authority plans to launch 38 residential projects comprising 16,146 units worth Bt9.5 billion combined during the next quarter, as part of its programme to supply budget projects nationwide.  The new projects are the first stage of a wider business plan to develop 96 low-cost projects from 2014-2017, comprising 49,769 units worth Bt34.19 billion combined, said NHA president Kritsada Raksakul.  Bt25.9 billion of the overall investment budget will be in the form of bank borrowings, Bt4.43 billion from the NHA’s budget, and Bt3.86 billion as a subsidy from the government’s budget, he said.

The 38 projects set to be launched in the last quarter of this year will be located in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Krabi, Chanthaburi, Nakhon Ratchasima, Samut Prakan, Chon Buri, Udon Thani, Nong Khai, Si Saket, Songkhla, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phetchabun and Ayutthaya provinces.

“We believe that our new projects will be sold out, based on customer demand nationwide,” said Kritsada.
