Thailand Property Developer, Ananda to keep focus on Greater Bangkok market

Chief executive Chanond Ruangkritya said the new projects would cover all price segments, from lower-end condos priced at 35,000 baht per square metre to luxury projects at nearly 300,000 baht per sq m. “The focus remains on residential projects near mass transit lines or in the city,” he said. “We have no plan for the provinces over the next five years.”

Among the 12 new projects it plans to launch this year, 2 of these will be joint-venture condos with Japanese developer Mitsui Fudosan. 1 of the projects is the Ashton Chula-Silom worth 8.26 billion baht. It is located on a five-rai site on Rama IV Road. The project is a 56-storey building with 1,182 units.

The company reported 2014 net profit of 1.3 billion baht on revenue of 10.6 billion, up 60% and 15% from 2013, respectively. Revenue from condos totalled 7.38 billion baht, while single houses and townhouses contributed 2.3 billion. ANAN shares closed yesterday on the SET at 4.16 baht, up 28 satang, in trade worth 960 million baht.
