Thailand Property Developers’ Campaigns Tap Stimulus

By on Nov 03, 2015 in Property News, Residential

Thailand property developers are introducing specific marketing campaigns to cash in on the government’s new property measures.

Amongst them are Sansiri Plc which are providing additional discounts for 62 residential projects nationwide that have units still available which are priced from 1.5 to 40 million Thai baht. The Chief Operating Officer, Wanchak Buranasiri said the government incentives including a reduction in mortgage and transfer fees to 0.01% and 0.02% from 1% and 2%, respectively, would help to boost the housing market.  “The housing market in this year’s fourth quarter and the first quarter of 2016 will grow incredibly, boosted by these incentives,” he said.  Sansiri are offering to waive transfer fees and are providing a special discount for all their stock, including single houses, townhouses and condos, which ends on November 30. Sansiri is expecting the property incentives to enable them to achieve their revenue target of 35 billion baht.

Quality Houses Plc is also launching a campaign to grab housing demand stimulated by incentives.

AP (Thailand) plan to introduce a 2 day campaign featuring a waiver on common-area expenses for 2 years, a waiver on all expenses connected with transfer dates and free furniture and electrical appliances.

Self-built home buyers are not eligible to receive any reductions in mortgage and transfer fees.
