Will Bangkok Prices Rise for Old Condominiums?

Bangkok price differences between old and new condominium developments are substantial. Key factors include:
  1. Pre 1997 many condos were badly designed and maintained, keeping the condo prices low.
  2. The price gap could be closed with new land being made available in the city centre, increasing land prices and rising rents that could push up re-sale prices.
  3. Older building could become more popular, but only in attractive developments where they can be refurbished.
