Key Factors in Choosing the Right Condominium
The Amarin continues with “Aroon Siriraj Triple Station”
October 25, 2024

Dr. Tanita Narongdej, a specialist in operative dentistry at Chulalongkorn Hospital, emphasizes that ‘location, developer credibility and low-rise buildings’ are crucial considerations when selecting a condominium. She revealed that she applied these three effective strategies when purchasing the ‘Aroon’ project several years ago.
When her daughter enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine at Siriraj Hospital, Dr. Tanita, residing on Sukhumvit 39, recognized that traveling from Sukhumvit to Siriraj would be inconvenient. Acknowledging the demanding nature of medical studies, she began exploring nearby condominium projects. Ultimately, she decided on the ‘Aroon’ project by The Amarin Company Limited, drawn to its decor, ambiance, and, most importantly, its prime location, which allows her daughter to walk to Siriraj Hospital with ease.
“While purchasing a condominium, I prioritized the location first, as my intention was to provide accommodation for my daughter during her studies at Siriraj. Therefore, I focused on convenient locations. The aesthetic appeal of the condominium, room size, interior design, neighbors and surrounding amenities are also critical. I avoid deep alleys due to safety concerns. Following my priorities, location comes first, followed by the condition of the condominium and then the residents. When I inquired about the majority of buyers, the staff informed me that most were from Siriraj, which reassured me that my daughter would have good neighbors.”
Trustworthiness of the Developer
Dr. Tanita further elaborated that the brand or developer is also an essential consideration. Although The Amarin Company Limited is a relatively new developer, she conducted thorough research on its history and found a commendable track record. This instilled confidence that the project would be developed well. After moving in and serving on the project’s management committee, she found the company responsive to suggestions, demonstrating responsibility and care for the project even after sales closure, which is indicative of good after-sales service. These attributes reflect the integrity of the developer.
The Aroon project is not Dr. Tanita's first condominium purchase; she had previously acquired a high-rise condominium, which had its advantages, such as views. However, she noted that high-rise buildings often experience higher dust levels and more residents, leading to inconveniences like long elevator waits during peak hours.
“Living in a low-rise condominium provides greater privacy with fewer neighbors, reducing overcrowding. Access to common areas is more comfortable, and it is feasible to use the stairs when needed.”
Siriraj: A Golden Investment Location
Dr. Tanita has observed significant urban development around Siriraj in recent years, with road expansions improving accessibility. Various transportation options, including roads, electric trains and waterways, have contributed to a surge in residential projects. Furthermore, Siriraj Hospital plans ongoing development of its medical hub, highlighting the area's potential as a prime investment location for rental properties. As a leading medical school in the country, Siriraj attracts numerous students and patients each year.
“This location, with Siriraj as the focal point, experiences an influx of students and professionals, making it a hub of activity. There is continuous demand for housing due to the steady stream of patients and their families. The real estate market in this area remains robust, particularly for rental investments, catering to students, specialized doctors and professionals needing accommodation.”
Dr. Tanita's second daughter has also been accepted into the Faculty of Medicine at Siriraj Hospital. She does not plan to sell the condo at Aroon after her daughters graduate, confident that its value will appreciate over time. In the future, she may consider renting it out due to high demand. She is also open to acquiring additional units if new projects arise in the area, believing that Siriraj offers lucrative investment potential.
“I am confident that prices will not decrease; they will only rise because such properties are scarce. I chose the largest unit at 49 square meters for comfort and opted for the third floor, making it easier to use the stairs during peak elevator usage. Siriraj and Chulalongkorn Hospital are continuously expanding, and there is always a demand for medical services. The need for healthcare remains constant, with an increase in patient numbers at Siriraj and state hospitals. As one of the best medical schools in the country, equipped with excellent faculty and resources, Siriraj is undoubtedly a golden investment location.”
Dr. Tanita also advised developers on targeting specific market segments. The initial goal should be to identify the target audience and tailor the project to meet their needs. She commended The Amarin Company for successfully aligning the Aroon project with the needs of medical professionals and students in the area, positioning it as a highly advantageous development.
“I had previously purchased one unit and returned to buy more, only to find that all the units were sold out.”
